Horse meat is eaten as local cuisine in some area in Japan. It’s mainly in Kumamoto, Nagano, Fukushima. Popular menu is ‘Basashi’ as raw horse meat (above photo) and ‘Sakura Nabe’ as horse meat hot pot.
