Producer, Morinaga started sales of ‘Choco Ball’ in 1963, initially with different name ‘SKIP’. This was for target to adult people.
After many of improvement, it’s supported from younger to elder, in Japanese market.

- 1965, renamed to ‘Chocolate Ball’
- 1967, ‘Kyoro-chan’ & ‘Angel mark’ debuted
- 1969, renamed to ‘Choco Ball’
- 1974, changed package to current style
- 1987, TV commercial and song was smash hit

The Character name of Choco-Ball is ‘Kyoro-Chan’
‘Kyoro-chan’ debuted in 1967. Since then, with several time of update, ‘Kyoro-chan’ has been printed on the package of ‘Choco-Ball’.
