ABENO Harukas / 300 meters high
ABENO Harukas is the highest building in Japan. It was built in 2014 and with 300 meters high, with 60-story. This building is located in Osaka. We can enjoy city view of Osaka Metropolitan area.
ABENO is name of area where building is located. And ‘Harukas’ is coming from old Japanese word, which means cheerfully, brightly, shiny, etc, very positive meanings.

Yokohama Landmark Tower / 296 meters high
Yokohama Landmark Tower is built in 1993. This building was the highest long time, until ABENO Harukas was built in 2014. This building has 296 meters high, with 70-story.
This building is located in Minato-Mirai Area of Yokohama City. We can see Yokohama port area, Mt. Fuji, Tokyo Skytree, etc, from Observatory in highest floor.
It’s landmark of Yokohama City !
Rinku Gate Tower Building / 256 meters high
Rinku Tower Gate is 3rd highest building in Japan. It was built in 1996 in Izumisano city in southern Osaka. This is 56-story building with 256 meters high.
It’s little bit far from central area of Osaka city. However, it’s close to Kansai International Airport. So we can see many of airplane around the building.
It’s nice access to airport !
Sakishima Cosmo Tower / 256 meters high
Sakishima Cosmo Tower was built in 1995, as Osaka World Trade Center Building. It’s 55-story building with 256 meters high. It’s 0.1 meter lower than Rinku Gate Tower Building.
As the operator of the building was bankrupt, local government of Osaka bought this building in 2010. Now, a lot of officers of Osaka local governments are working in this building.
It’s nice view of Osaka port area !
Toranomon Hills Mori Tower / 255.5 meters high
Toranomon Hills Tower was built in 2014, in Toranomon area, as central of Tokyo Metropolitan area. It’s with 255.5 meters high, and 52-story building.
Under the building, trunk road is passing through. With opening of this building, redevelopment of Toranomon area is accelerating.
Wealthy class live in this area…
