In 1953, ‘Shimamura’ was established in Saitama, as retailer of Gofuku as traditional Japanese wears. In 1961, first ‘Shimamura’ as retailer of casual apparel was opened. In 1980’s, there are many ‘Shimamura’ stores opened mainly in northern Kanto area, Saitama, Gunma. In 1990’a, ‘Shimamura’ was significantly developed. In 2002, ‘Shimamura’ completed to open their stores in all of prefectures in Japan.
